The House and Senate have passed the tax incentive bill. The Gov is ready to sign it. $242 million in transferable tax credits will induce over $1.2 billion in direct spending by productions choosing Florida for their film, TV and digital media projects.

It was just released that Pixar is doing a sequel to one of my favorite films, Monster’s Inc. It will come out in the holiday season 2012. YES!

Muslims have threatened the lives of the South Park creators because of the recent episodes depicting Muhammad. There are actually 2 funny things (not including the episodes) about this. One, the radical Muslims threatened their lives and then said it was not a threat. Two, for some reason they are watching South Park.

I just spoke with a friend of mine from Canada who has been stuck in Cannes, France since last week’s MIPTV conference because of the volcano. He is finally getting out on Monday afternoon. His company got a flight out of Toulouse, to JFK and back to Toronto.

If you are waiting for a response from a network, you may have to wait a bit longer. The erupting volcano in Iceland has stopped most air traffic in Europe. Most execs who were at MIPTV this week were supposed to leave yesterday or today, but planes have been grounded. We’ve heard from friends in Cannes that they are stuck there indefinitely.
